Are you one of those people who save every single thing year after year? You don't believe in throwing away or getting rid of any Christmas item, no matter how out of date it is?

Well, last year I finally broke down and took a good look at some of ornaments. And while they were in good shape, they could use some restoration.

Like those old satin balls that I have had for eons. I bet you probably have or have had some too. Well, here is a way that I found to bring new beauty to those old balls.

This craft is so simple and easy to do that my six-year-old son helped me with it.

Items Needed:

Satin Balls

Beads

Glue

Directions:

Grab up a bunch of satin balls and pull up a chair. When buying beads, look for beads that have a pinpoint on them. These beads can simply be pushed into the satin balls, rather than gluing them on.

Take a ball and lay it on a worktable. Next, take a bead. If it is a pinpoint on it, simply press it into the ball. Repeat with other Push beads, sticking randomly into ball. Or use push beads to create whatever type of design that you desire.

If beads need gluing, Elmers clear glue works just fine, apply glue to back of bead, and press firmly onto ball. Repeat procedure with other beads, creating a pattern that appeals to you.

If you have just white satin balls, try mixing some vinegar and food color, then dipping the ball into mixture. Lay ball on flat surface to dry completely. Once dry, you can either hang ball on tree, or decorate with beads then hang ball on tree.
